  1. On the verge of a big storm, wanting to stay pretty close to home. Been meaning to visit here for a while—seems good day to go.

    The road up is a bit winding—not as much as Hwy 9—not bad.

    The tasting room building is bigger than I expected. Plenty of parking. Views would be great, if it wasn’t overcast. Not a day to sit on the patio (though there were a few groups out on the covered porch). Inside was packed!

    Live music (jazz sax); a big group (birthday party, I think), a couple medium-sized groups Half a dozen couples. Everyone seems to be having fun. The tasting room is very live–conversation was difficult.

    Tasting room staff were nice—but the two of them were definitely hustling.

    We’ll be back (when the weather’s nicer) and try the patio.

    Took home a bottle of their estate Cabernet.
