There are currently no recognized AVAs within Nebraska. Nebraska’s severe weather makes native American varieties and French-American hybrids the grapes of choice, but several wineries also produce quality Vitis vinifera varietals. Approximately half of Nebraska’s wineries are clustered in the eastern part of the state near Omaha and Lincoln.
