Cruising south on highway 101, passing miles of grape vines, thinking “there’s got to be a tasting room around here somewhere!” Saw their sign on the side of the road, decided to pull off—their driveway is right on the highway.
It’s a sunny Wednesday afternoon, the tasting room is almost empty—a group of what looks like regulars at a table in the back. We sit on the patio for our tasting. This looks like it’d be a great place to hang out, if we lived in the area. They had some interesting-looking salamis on their food menu—which we did not get.
People were friendly—one of the winery workers waved “hello” to us as we walked through the parking lot. The server was great, very knowledgeable about the wines and the region.
Brought home a bottle each of a very nice Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc.
