New tasting room is open Thurs – Sun, Noon – 5:00pm. Located at: 645 Bell St., Suite 101, Los Alamos, CA 93440
First visit to the newly opened tasting room in Los Alamos. It’s located at the easterly end of town, rather than in the center of town where most of the other wineries are located. Kevin Law, owner/winemaker, is making the some of the best wines anywhere in the area. I say this with my usual disclaimer that what my palate loves, yours may not, so check them out for yourselves.
Will, the assistant winemaker happened to be pouring during our recent visit. He’s a wonderful host and always takes care of us. We tasted the following: ‘19 Blanc de Blancs Sparkling (100% Chardonnay), ‘24 Aligoté (Santa Barbara), ‘19 Chardonnay (La Rinconada), ‘22 Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills), ‘21 Pinot Noir (Sanford & Benedict), and a ’19 “Derive” Bordeaux blend (48% Napa & 52% Santa Ynez Valley). As usual, we loved everything!
I honestly can’t tell you what they charge for a tasting, as we’ve always purchased 6 or more bottles, and they’ve waived the fee. Now we’re Club Members and receive a regular discount all year, with an additional discount the two months they release to club members.
I can’t recommend these guys enough, as we feel that their wines are some of the best in the area.
