  1. As of our 12/17/2023 visit, a Tasting Flight: $24/tasting for 5 pours

Javelina Leap is a rustic, family-owned, premium boutique winery, using 100% Arizona grown fruit. The winery is located on a scenic property near Oak Creek. Dirt driveway and parking lot. There’s a main tasting room, the Arizona Room (secondary tasting, live music, and events area), and a wonderful, covered patio. While learning about and tasting their wines, we also learned about their namesake, the Javelina (Hav a leen a) which are native to Arizona and live in and around the vineyard. They resemble a wild boar and can be seen around the vineyard at dusk, night, or early morning.

WINES: Steve poured for us during our visit, and they were tasting 1 white, 1 rosé, and all the rest were red wines. Steve’s knowledge of their wines was excellent, and he provided us with a wonderful tasting experience. The wines were our favorite of that year’s trip to AZ, and we really enjoyed the ‘20 Syrah and ‘20 Zinfandel, taking home a bottle of each. If you’re hungry, they offer grab-n-go boxes: Charcuterie Graze Box ($25), Crackerology Artisan Snack Boxes ($15), and amazing Truffles ($3) each.

Overall, we had an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend that you schedule them in when planning a trip to Arizona wine country.
